WALKIN'

Written by James Argo and Lenny Widener
© 1999 All rights reserved

Can't you see me walkin'

Down this lone and windin' road

Can't you see me turnin'

Turnin' around and I don't know

What I'm gonna' turn around into

Now that everybody says we're through

Can't you see me talkin'

Talkin' to every girl I meet

Can't you see me walkin'

Down these dark and dreary streets

Can't you see me beggin'

Beggin' for some sympathy

Can't you see me runnin'

But no one's runnin' after me

Can't you see me walkin'

Down this long and windin' road

can't you see me talkin'

Talkin' to every girl I know

Can't you see me beggin'

Beggin' for some sympathy

Can't you see me runnin'

But there's no one runnin' after me

WHISKEY

I need whiskey

To help me ease my pain

I need whiskey

To help me ease my pain

'Cause you ran off and left me

And thats a cryin' shame

You told me you were leavin'

Then you told me not to cry

You told me you were leavin'

Then you told me not to cry

You said you'd found another

And I'm the reason why

Your friends told me

That I'm the one to blame

All your friends told me

That I'm the one to blame

'Cause you found another

And thats a cryin' shame

I need whiskey

To help me ease my pain

I need red whiskey

To help me ease my pain

'Cause you found another

And thats a cryin' shame

GLORY RIDE

Written by James Argo, Brian Bullock and Lenny Widener
copyright 1999 all rights reserved

Let me tell you a little story

'Bout a man searchin' for glory

He rode with a pistol in his hand

In a desperate time in a troubled land

In a time when money meant everything

And an unguarded bank brought fortune and fame

But he spoke of his crime in another town

One lonely night drinkin' whiskey down

He ran his mouth to a cathouse whore

For three dollars worth of pleasure and a life no more

She told all she heard to the travelin' judge

Now don't you know he believed every word

Now the judge and the sheriff were real good friends

And the search by the posse would soon begin

But he covered his tracks like a outlaw should

'Cause you got to be careful when your up to no good

And you can't never be where they think you would

And you can't never stand where you already stood

Now the last place the sheriff thought I'd be

Was searchin' for the woman who took my freedom from me

I found her and the judge where she was before

Two well placed shots from the bedroom door

Now I'm standin' on the gallows floor

Gonna' hang for the murder of a three dollar whore

PICTURE THIS

Written by James Argo and Lenny Widener

Picture this

You and Me ridin' on a Sunday

In my daddy's' sixty-seven Chevrolet

Life is just a game we seem to play

pushin' tapes, singin' songs, and drivin' down the highway

Hey-hey ,

Hey- hey, I think its safe to say

You got me feelin' this way

Picture this

Me and You gettin' married on a Sunday

Preacher tellin' us everything we need to say

Hand in hand and willin' in every way

To spend our lives together and never stray

Hey-hey

Hey-hey, I think its safe to say

You got me feelin' this way

Picture this

Me and You in church every Sunday

Hand in hand we bow our heads and pray

My hair is gone and yours' has all turned gray

Seems like we just met only yesterday

Hey-hey

Hey-hey, You got me feelin' this way

STANDIN' TALL

Written by James Argo and Lenny Widener
Copyright 1999 all rights reserved

Down here on this river bank

Looking back I see

It wouldn't matter what I did or said

You'd make a fool of me

You know you carried my heart away

You set me up for a fall

I can't forget about this hurt inside

Gotta' keep standin' tall

Leaves floating slowly by

Remindin' me of you

The way we drifted far apart

From what I put you thru

You won't give me the time of day

You still won't take my calls

I'll make it thru this heartbreak hell

Gotta' keep standin' tall

BROWN EYED GIRL

written by Lenny Widener
Copyright 1999 all rights reserved

It seems I've spent my life

Runnin' down these dead end streets

Fightin' just to stay alive

Gettin' knocked down off my feet

With no one there to show me

With no one there to hold me

Broken hearts can never mend

They'll get you down, they'll always win

But you can't let it get to you

Let me tell you what you gotta' do

You gotta' pick the pieces up

Put 'em back in your lovin' cup

Go out and search the world

Till you find your brown eyed girl

And I've been runnin' 'round the world

Searchin' for my brown eyed girl

POCKET CHANGE

Written by James Argo and Brian Bullock

© 1999 All rights reserved

'Aint got no money in my pocket

'Aint got money in the bank

'Aint even got enough money

To stay in here and drink

And after all you just told me

What I need to do is drink

You said that we were all over

And you didn't care what I think

And that you had some secrets

That you really must confess

You didn't want to hurt me at all

But this is all my mess

I'm tired of wakin' up lonely

I'm tired of wakin' up blue

I'm tired of everyone talkin'

It seems it's always of you

I'm tired of dreamin' about you

But dreams they say sometimes come true

You said that we were all over

And you didn't care what I do

And that you had some secrets

That you really must confess

You didn't want to hurt me at all

But this is all my mess

WHAT MONEY COULDN'T BUY

Written by James Argo, Brian Bullock and Lenny Widener
© 1999 All rights reserved

I wake up every mornin'

And wipe the sleep from my eyes

I look into the sky thats dawning

I pray to GOD and I wonder why

I ask HIM why He let you leave me

And I ask myself why I couldn't try

Thats when I finally realize

that you're always on my mind

You took so long for me to find

But I threw you away

I threw away what money just can't buy

I should have listen to your eyes girl

I guess I would have by and by

You gave oh' so many chances

And I really don't know why

'Cause an angel with such beauty

Was surely born to fly

That's when I finally realize

That you're always on my mind

You took so long for me to find

But I threw you away

Threw away what money just can't buy

Now I go to bed each evenin'

I think of every little lie

I hold you're empty pillow

But now it's used to dry my eyes

I swear I'll start to smell you

But then I'll start to cry

That's when I finally realize

That you're always on my mind

You took so long for me to find

But I threw you away

Threw away what money just cant buy

NUTHIN' FANCY

Written by Mark Inman
© 1999 All rights reserved

You never said you loved me

You never even said you cared

You never said you loved me

You never even said you cared

My pride is selfish can't you see

But that 'aint nuthin' fancy

I'm a simple kind of man

You don't understand my ways

I'm a simple kind of man

You don't understand my ways

What you get is what you see

But I 'aint nuthin' fancy

You don't like the way I talk

You don't like my dirty boots

You don't like the way I talk

You don't like my dirty boots

If I don't change you say you're gonna' leave

But you 'aint nuthin' fancy
